Emily Dickinson—Please Come to McDonalds

Emmy Baby
please—
We’re hungry—
so,
I’m buying
a McBitchin’
for us both—
it’s good— it’s up to dick
it’s the mix my girl made—
secrets, Emmy—secrets:
spicy chicken patty—
special sauce—
sesame seed bun!
—But let’s get drunk first—
(and make out?)—
What do you think? You—
Me—a large fry—
licking our pickers—rubbing
grease on paper—smearing
ink from our letters—fingering
for the big one—salty—
hot—keeping the windows
rolled down while we drive away—
in the summer night—giving
to each other
permission
to eat.
