[okay fine i love you still and what a]

pitiful way to carry on. to think

if only if only i stretch my ribs

wide enuf i can breathe for both of us.

and i’ve caught this delusion before. first

wild love then here the river comes—bellies

both too full of ghost gas. town girlboy wants

out of everything eventually—

even tableland. i wish these bodies

had time to try us. enuf hammering

heart to frame homes for each other. good bye

to those dance floors we promised. i accept.

i had a dream. we never make it. our

ruined earth’s axis is of entire fire.
